Clothing - Our MOMS CLOSET provides professional clothes, causal clothes, shoes, also housewares, beauty products and toiletries(including toilet paper) when available.
Collaboration/Partnership with local Christian counselors - There comes a time when we need someone outside of our situation to talk to. We connect with counselors who walk in God's wisdom and truly want to see women's lives changed for good.
Collaboration/Partnership with local and national Domestic Violence Services - No one should have to live in fear and abuse. We were made for God's glory not to be someone's punching bag. We are now a part of our local domestic violence coalition and we will be participating in ongoing national training.
Community Action - We believe in giving back and helping each other within the group and reaching out to the community, our nation and moms/families around the world.
Diapers - We help with diapers and other baby items. We also make deliveries of needed new baby supplies to the hospital for moms who have just given birth.
Emergency Food Assistance - Our program, IN-BETWEEN, is designed to assist moms in between paychecks, government assistance, and when it's not possible to get to a food pantry.
Entrepreneurship Program - VENTUREMOMS assists and empowers moms to become entrepreneurs through principles found in the word of God and practically applying them to their lives. We have work nights and sell days; moms (and kids) are able to make products and sell them.
Errands - We have time for your errands when you don't.
Health Advocacy Info/Seminars - We provide tips, information and special seminars on health issues affecting women including cancer, diabetes, lupus and mental health issues
New Job Opportunity Postings - We receive email blasts as well as texts from certain businesses around town
Prayer - We all need this...and we believe in the power of prayer.
Professional Assistance - We provide help with resumes, as well as online profiles, job searches and interviews.
Referrals to Community Resources - We believe in actively communicating and partnering with other agencies and resources in our community to help our moms find the best help possible.
Real Estate Agent - Geneva Ochoa, a local real estate agent is on our Board of Directors. She helps moms find affordable housing. She has helped keep families from being displaced and homeless.
Scholarships - When funds are available we help moms out as much as we can with school expenses.
Social Networking - We regularly post on facebook, twitter and linkedin.
Social Outings - We have movie nights, family days/nights, and other fun times for moms and their kids.
Summer Camp for Moms - A time of refreshing for moms in the summer (usually June). It is a time of scripture study, sisterhood, and exploring new and interesting places.
Support Group - A time(every 2nd Tuesday of the month) for sharing, encouragement and growth.
Transportation to medical/dental appointments, WIC appointments, job searches and interviews.
Women Empowerment Conferences - A time just for women. We will have sessions on entrepreneurship, health issues affecting women, healthy eating workshop and much more!
Childcare - One of our goals is to provide great, safe childcare so moms can go on job searches, interviews and appointments as well as childcare for our meetings and events.
Youth Development Program - We want the older children who attend events and meetings with their mothers to have a program of their own that not only entertains them, but facilitates exploration and learning.
Single Fathers - We want to have a program where we can encourage single dads as well
Bible Studies - These studies will be geared towards single mothers to help us grow spiritually and closer as a group.
Mentor Program - A program for younger moms or moms with young children who can be mentored by women who have walked that road and come out with success
Facility/Emergency Shelter - We would like a facility to call our own and an emergency, temporary shelter for single moms and their children in crisis.
Van- We want to be able to transport women to appointments as well as travel as a group to special events and group support meetings.
